Manufacturers trust us with proprietary designs. This statement describes how we treat them.

Your designs stay yours

​

You retain all intellectual property rights in every drawing, CAD file, specification, and part you provide to us. Upon payment in full, you also own the deliverables we create from them: the CAD models, drawings, reports, and documentation. GD&T claims no ownership interest in your designs or your deliverables. We retain rights only in our own methods, templates, software, and know-how.

How we use your files

​

Your files and parts are used solely to perform the services you engage us for. We do not use your designs for any other customer, purpose, or product, and we do not disclose them to third parties except to service providers necessary to deliver the work (e.g., secure file transmission), or as required by law.

Authorized work only

​

We perform reverse engineering and measurement services only on parts and designs that you own or are legally authorized to reproduce. You certify this when submitting a request for quote. We may decline any project where authorization is unclear.

Confidentiality and NDAs

​

We treat all customer files, parts, and project information as confidential. We are glad to sign your non-disclosure agreement, or provide ours, before you send anything. Just ask at the quoting stage.

File retention and deletion

​

Project files are retained for 3 years to support corrections, re-issues, and repeat work, then deleted in the normal course. You may request earlier deletion, or return of all files, at any time after project completion by emailing quotes@gdandtiinc.com; we will confirm in writing when complete.
